Today’s Oman Observer covers our ongoing collaboration with the Environment Authority of the Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Environmental Emergency Center, to treat beach sand contaminated by the July 2025 marine oil spill in the Dhofar Governorate.
The article highlights the scale of response: approximately 25,000 bags of contaminated material from 2.5 kilometers of coastline are being treated at our Arvox SRT Treatment Plant in Muscat, enabling the restored material to be returned to its original location in Salalah for full rehabilitation and ecological recovery.
This collaboration reflects an advanced environmental approach that transforms pollutants from an environmental hazard into a reclaimed resource that supports the renewal of natural ecosystems.
We are proud to contribute to this national effort and extend our sincere appreciation to the Environment Authority and all relevant departments for their continued support and cooperation.
